1.1. Introduction
This course does not offer contents for specialisation in the study of Spanish literature, it is offered as a reinforcement of the learning acquired during the undergraduate degree in this field through a review in the form of key points of knowledge related to the object of study, to the methodologies that address it, and to the applicable theoretical/practical tools; it is focused on the levels within Compulsory Secondary Education and non-compulsory Secondary Education.
2.1. Learning goals
In order to pass this course, students must be able to:
1 Discuss the concept of literature and explain the difficulties in its definition, as well as list and describe the various components of the literary object.
2 Classify and define the various disciplines applied to the study of literature, and identify the most relevant study methodologies in the field of Spanish literature.
3 Evaluate the various organisational criteria in the study of literature.
4 Evaluate the concept of the literary canon and recognise the educational and ideological implications of the various literary canons.
5 Recognise the different study perspectives in the field of international Hispanism.
6 Analyse and evaluate the literature contents in the curriculum for Compulsory Secondary Education and non-compulsory Secondary Education.
7 Select and summarise the most relevant contents for the teaching of literature in its synchronic and diachronic aspects in the context of Compulsory Secondary Education and non-compulsory Secondary Education.
8 Use fundamental sources of knowledge and references for scientific updates regarding literature.
9 Compare the various text commentary models and evaluate their relevance for the classroom.
10 Describe the various types of text publication and evaluate their degree of educational usefulness in the context of Compulsory Secondary Education and non-compulsory Secondary Education.
